DietGhar vs HealthifyMe: which one fits how you eat?
By The DietGhar Team. Last checked 13 October 2026.
Disclosure: DietGhar publishes this page and is one of the services compared. Competitor figures come from the public pages listed under Sources, with the date we saw each one. Where a price is not published, we say so.

HealthifyMe is the biggest name in Indian diet apps, and people searching for a "healthifyme alternative" are usually asking one of two things. Is there something cheaper? Or is there something with a real person on the other end?
We make DietGhar, so we are not neutral. What we can do is stick to figures we saw on public pages, date them, and tell you where HealthifyMe is the better choice. It is better at some things, and pretending otherwise would be a bad way to earn your trust.
These two are not really the same product. HealthifyMe is an app you live in every day. DietGhar is a diet written for you by a nutritionist, delivered on WhatsApp.
Side by side
| HealthifyMe | DietGhar | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price on its own site | Healthify+ (AI only): Rs 2,500 for 12 months | Rs 499 for 15 days |
| With a human in the loop | Coach plans exist. Prices not shown on pages we could open. A competitor estimates Rs 1,250 to Rs 2,500 a month, unconfirmed | Every plan: Rs 499 (15 days), Rs 999 (30 days), Rs 1,999 (75 days) |
| Who makes the diet | Ria, an AI coach, on the AI plan | A nutritionist on the DietGhar team |
| Food logging | Photo logging and a very large food database | Not our focus |
| Support channel | In the app | WhatsApp chat plus the app |
| Food style | Broad, built for many users and cuisines | Built around what your family cooks at home |
| Other products | Glucose sensor plan at Rs 6,000, recipes, reports | None. Diet plans only |
| Commitment | 12 months on the AI plan | 15 to 75 days |
The price, as far as we can verify it
HealthifyMe's own store page for the Healthify+ Plan shows Rs 2,500 for 12 months. That is about Rs 208 a month, and it is an AI-only plan: you get the Ria coach, macro tracking, recipes and photo logging, and no human coach.
If you want a human coach, prices are harder to pin down. The company's main site refused our automated check and the store pages we could open did not list coach plans. One third party review from February 2026 puts them somewhere between Rs 1,250 and Rs 2,500 a month, but it was written by a competing app and HealthifyMe has not confirmed it. Offers also change often. Look at the price inside the app on the day you buy.
DietGhar costs Rs 499 for 15 days, Rs 999 for 30 days and Rs 1,999 for 75 days, which is 60 days plus 15 extra. A nutritionist is part of every plan. These are our own numbers, so check them against the plans page.
Where HealthifyMe is better
Tracking. You can photograph a plate and have it logged. The company said in 2023 that its photo model was trained on 150,000 Indian food items, and the same announcement quoted the company's own accuracy at 60 to 70 percent, so it is useful but not magic. Still, we cannot match it. DietGhar is a chart and a conversation, not a logging tool.
Value for a self-driven person. Rs 2,500 for a year of an AI coach and a huge food database is a good deal if you are disciplined and mostly need a mirror for what you ate. Plenty of people lose weight just by logging honestly.
Scale and extras. HealthifyMe also sells a glucose sensor plan (Rs 6,000 on its store when we looked) and a lot of content. We do not sell anything like that.
Where DietGhar is a better fit
A person writes the chart. Our nutritionist builds your plan around the dal, sabzi, rice or roti your household already makes, so you are not hunting for ingredients or cooking a second dinner. Most people who quit diets quit because the food was not theirs.
You can message. Support is on WhatsApp, where you already are. If a wedding, a festival or a bad week derails things, you write and the plan is adjusted. An AI coach can answer questions, but it is not the same as a nutritionist who knows your chart.
A small first step. Rs 499 for 15 days is a cheap way to find out whether guided eating works for you, with no 12 month commitment. The flip side: we do not offer refunds, so read the refunds page first.
Can you use both?
Yes, and some people should. Follow a DietGhar chart for the food plan and use any tracking app you like to log what you actually ate. We would rather you log honestly in an app than not at all.
Who should pick which
Pick HealthifyMe if
you want detailed calorie and macro tracking, you are happy with an AI coach, and you want the lowest yearly price.
Pick DietGhar if
you want a nutritionist to write the diet around home food, support on WhatsApp, and a short commitment starting at Rs 499.
Be careful with either if
you have a medical condition. Neither a nutritionist chat nor an AI coach replaces your doctor. Share your reports and keep following medical advice.
You can see what each DietGhar plan includes on the plans page.
