We collect information you give us, information from your device when you use the app or website, and information from the services that help us run DietGhar.

Account and identity. Name, phone number, email (if you provide it), date of birth, gender, and a profile photo if you upload one. Login uses a one-time code sent to your phone.

Health and diet information you choose to share. Height, weight, body measurements, weight history, health conditions, medications and supplements you mention, food allergies, dietary restrictions, preferences and dislikes, health goals, meal habits, daily routine, activity level, water intake, mood, sleep notes, and progress photos. We use this to build and adjust your diet plan and to let your assigned dietitian support you. We do not sell health data. We do not use health data to advertise to you.

Period and cycle tracking (eVe). Entries you log there are private to you by default. Your nutritionist can see your current cycle phase only if you turn sharing on inside that feature. You can turn sharing off at any time.

Payments. Plan purchases are processed by Razorpay. We receive payment status, amount, and a transaction reference. Razorpay handles card, UPI, and net-banking details. We do not store full card numbers.

Device and app data. IP address, device type, OS version, app version, crash logs, approximate location if you allow it, step and activity readings if you allow activity or Health Connect access, contacts if you allow the optional "who is already on DietGhar" check, and advertising ID on Android if you allow it (used for Meta install measurement when you arrived from an ad).

Website log data. Browser type, pages visited, time spent, and referring URL.

Cookies. The website uses cookies to keep the site working and to understand how it is used. You can refuse cookies in your browser. Some parts of the site may not work if you do.

Analytics and advertising tools on the website. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages help people. We use the Meta Pixel to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and to show our ads to people who visited the site. We use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors scroll and click (heatmaps and session replays) so we can fix confusing pages. These tools set cookies and receive technical data such as pages visited, device and browser type. We do not send your name, phone number or health details to them from the website. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.

The DietGhar app may ask for:

• Camera and photos: profile picture, chat photos, meal check-off photos
• Contacts (optional): see which contacts already use DietGhar
• Physical activity and health data: steps and activity in the app
• Notifications: plan, meal, and water reminders
• Location: help fill your address; some wearable features
• Microphone: voice notes in chat
• Bluetooth: connect a fitness wearable if you use one

You can change these in your device settings at any time.

We share personal information only with the providers below, and only as needed to run DietGhar. They are not allowed to use it for their own marketing.

• Razorpay: payments (name, phone, email, payment details).
• Google Firebase: sign-in, app data, push notifications, analytics.
• Google Play and Apple App Store: app distribution, updates, and store billing libraries on the device.
• WhatsApp (Meta WhatsApp Cloud API): one-time login codes.
• Waship: WhatsApp Business messages for chat and account notices.
• Meta (Facebook): ad measurement if you installed DietGhar from a Meta ad. This can include the Android advertising ID.
• Cloudflare and Storj: storage for photos you upload (profile, chat, progress).
• DeepSeek: AI that flags urgent chat messages and helps draft dietitian replies. It receives recent chat and a profile summary (name, age, gender, goal, diet type, health conditions, allergies, weight trend, recent meals, water, steps, mood). Your nutritionist normally reviews drafted replies. Some replies may be sent by an automated assistant.
• Your assigned dietitian: the health and diet details needed to manage your plan, plus chat.

We may disclose information if required by Indian law or to protect the safety of a user or the public.

DietGhar stores and retains user data. This section is our data retention policy. It states how long we keep each category of personal information, and when we delete it.

• Account, identity, health and diet profile, diet charts, chat, and progress photos: kept for as long as the account stays open.
• Meal check-off photos used only as a daily reference: deleted from our systems by 11:59 pm India time on the same day they are uploaded.
• Device logs, crash logs, and advertising identifiers: kept up to 12 months, then deleted or stored only in anonymised form.
• Payment and tax records: kept for 8 years, or longer if Indian law requires.
• After you delete your account: we remove personal data from live systems within 30 days. Backups that still hold that data are overwritten on the backup cycle, at most 90 days. We may keep anonymised analytics that cannot identify you, and payment or tax records for the legal period above.

We do not keep personal information longer than these periods unless a law, a dispute, or a written request from you requires us to hold it.

You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, by emailing support@dietghar.com.

To delete your DietGhar account and the personal data linked to it, use dietghar.com/delete-account. Enter the phone number on the account, verify the OTP, and confirm. Deletion removes your profile, diet plans, and progress. Active subscriptions are cancelled. This cannot be undone.

DietGhar is for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has given us personal information, we delete it. Parents or guardians who believe a child has used DietGhar should email support@dietghar.com.

We use standard technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure.

DietGhar may link to sites we do not operate. Their privacy policies govern those sites.

We may update this policy. The new version is posted on this page and applies from the date it is posted. The date at the top of this page is the latest update.
